In 1974, when my husband and I lived in Royal Oak, we were looking for a dentist and happened to walk by Dr. Hechtman’s office and decided to make appointments. He told me he was a new dentist, straight out of U of M. He seemed very sincere, trustworthy, and charming. We were very pleased with the dental work he did for us. He put in a bridge for me (in 1974) and if my memory is correct, I believe he told me this was the first bridge he had done. I remember him working very hard to get it ‘just right’. A while later, we moved out of town and lost touch with Dr. Hechtman. I am writing today (2016) to say that I still have the bridge and it is working fine! Every time I go to my dentist (in East Lansing) he comments about the excellent work done on that bridge. He is amazed I still have it! He is very impressed with Dr. Hechtman’s work, even asked me his name. I guess the bridge is considered somewhat of an antique now and I’m very happy with it! Thank you Dr. Hechtman!
